Officer Responsibilities

The official roles and responsibilities are listed in the Bylaws. This is a "practical summary" of those roles.

President: Chief executor of the Chapter's business. It is the President's responsibility to shepherd discussions on our social media group which is our chapter's virtual meeting place. The President also votes for the ICG Lifetime Achievement Award.

Vice President: Assistant to the President and the one who carries out the president's duties when needed.

Secretary: Responsible for maintenance of the Chapter's records, and membership roster. Responds to inquiries sent to the Chapter. Is responsible for sending the monthly update report to the ICG Treasurer and for annual reports to the ICG Board of Directors and to the ICG Secretary related to ICG Standing Rules 7 and 14, respectively.

In practical terms, the secretary works with the webmaster and the treasurer to maintain membership record, both for ICG reporting and website update purposes. The secretary also welcomes new members and reminds members whose membership are up for renewal via email.

Treasurer: Maintains the Chapter's financial records, receives funds and deposits them into the Chapter's accounts, reports all dues payments to the Secretary, and pays all bills.

Our primary source of income is the membership dues, and the primary expense has been dues payable to the ICG which cover the cost of our webhosting and social media. The Treasurer makes a membership report to the ICG Treasurer per ICG requirements.
